Marine Survey & Non Hydrocarbon Inspection

Draught Survey

draught survey

Draught survey is not an exact science as the attending surveyor must take into account a number of factors such as the vessel condition, availability of draught marks, vessel particulars, vessel lie, ability to accurately sound tanks (ballast and consumables) and the prevailing weather/sea conditions. Verifications of ships data and accurate determination of the variables and constant are key elements in producing a reliable result.
Our considerable experience of performing draught survey and knowledge of local conditions (specially Lebanese ports) has enabled us to gain a trusted reputation as an industry leader in the execution of accurate, independent draught survey.
Experienced staff performs this service using up to data calculation models and formula to ensure the most accurate result possible.

The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that goods are in strict conformity to Letters of Credit, Purchase Orders, Contracts or Packing Lists. Upon completion of the inspection, our findings are rapidly and accurately detailed in a PSI Certificate or Report.

Hatch Cover Testing

Humber Inspection International work with ship owners, insurance companies and commodity traders by providing hose, hatch cover testing.
Leaking hatch covers are frequently the cause of large cargo damage claims. Usually hatch covers leak because of damaged securing cleats or missing sections of the watertight gaskets. It is therefore imperative that ship owners, cargo underwriters and indeed traders of water sensitive cargoes check to ensure that chartered vessels have regular and careful maintenance of hatch cover gaskets, compression bars and cleats. Depending on the cargo to be carried and its value, our inspectors will either carryout a hatch hose test.
